My name is Gaurav Prakash, I have been in the education industry for last 15 Years. During the lockdown 3 childhood friends from IIT decided to start Test Prep start-up PracBee . Initially our vision was to work on simulated live class (what it is and what we wanted to do is for some other day also AI was not so advanced back in 2020). However, we didn't had any fund and so we decided to go with the conventional way of Test Prep. Only differentiating factor was the small siz off batches in Live Class. As we had experimented that Live Learning Online is possible only in small batches.

Okay jumping to the point : “ How we have been able to scale it up with very small fund from our pocket and some borrowed from friends.”

So we did try to raise funds from VC but we failed miserably. The reason being the sudden Funding Winter in Ed-tech in India and also the Byju’s Fiasco. (There was a time when we went to raise fund , the VC answer to us was : “How will you survive giant like Byju” and after the turmoil in Byju the Answer of VC’s changed to : “After what Byju has done , who will fund ed-tech in India”).
